Just checking in with you all. I took the past week off from drawing, especially working on Chapter 070, to focus on studying art a bit more.
No, it wasnโt because of hate comments. Honestly, I donโt even have the time to see those. But I do struggle with imposter syndrome, and sometimes it makes me hate everything I create. Itโs a terrible feeling.
Thatโs actually why I had someone else illustrate my work in the past. It felt easier. But I donโt want to go back to that. I want to grow through this and bring my stories to life with my own vision, even if it can be mentally draining.
Comparison really is the thief of joy. I donโt even reread my completed chapters after they are released because all I see are the mistakes. It is not a healthy mindset.
That said, I am back to working on the upcoming chapter, even if I am a bit behind. I like to keep you all updated, especially when it comes to my mental health. I have been staying off social media to help manage it and focus on what truly matters, which is creating.
