It is of the wuxia genre โ๏ธ, which is the centry-old kungfu film style that was the original inspiration for The Matrix's ๐ fight choreography. I remember when it first came out, it introduced wuxia to western audiences with such quality, that critics described it as raising film to the level of art ๐จ. Everything Everywhere All at Once's main star, Michelle Yeoh, is in Crouching Tiger as a strong and beautiful warrior. If you have not seen Crouching Tiger, it is a mind blower for sure ๐ง +๐งจ=๐ฅ. The poll is pretty close among popular choices, even if Crouching Tiger does not win this poll, I hope you will still give this art film a try later on.
