On Top

I’ve previously shot Celia on top of one of these old Air Force shelters built for F16 fighter jets. Search for “Celia” or “shelter” for more information on the structure.

This time with Georgia Brown, I did it (more) right, though:

First, we were out earlier when the sun was lower in the sky, and second, I brought a ladder.

This facilitated getting Georgia on and off easier and gave me more flexibility as I could get up off the ground to find a better perspective instead of only shooting while standing on the ground.

With Georgia, you don’t need much instruction unless you want to refine something because of a camera angle, so I could focus entirely on optimizing the structure's graphic properties.

I used the smaller aperture to optimize the depth of field for this series as in the images, I wanted to remove the roof behind Georgis, which is much easier when the edge is in focus.
