Amenz I think you forget Garp is in the navy and in this world 8.9/10 pirates are bad so he has been doing his job all these years. He may not have the same mindset as Fujitora to get rid of the entire warlord system but they both do their job by keeping pirates from raiding towns. & a point from the last video I lowkey agree Garp may have done more if it were Luffy about to be executed but I think another main point is how Ace was supposed to die vs how he actually died. Ace was supposed to be executed not murdered. He wasn't "ok" with Ace dying either way but he came to terms with a proper death like execution. As opposed to bit** a** Akainu murdering him which is why Garp was about to risk all the years he put into his career for his grandson that wasn't blood but came pretty damn close.

The way I saw it at Marineford, if he opposed to save Ace it would've been the same outcome. Because treason would've had the whole navy against him and would have listed as a fugitive. He wanted Luffy to get past him in order to save Ace. But it was also Aces fault for being baited by Akainu.

2022-04-26 10:26:20 +0000 UTCLet me give yโall my two cents on this Garp debate: Iโm usually on the side that thinks family over everything, but the way One Piece presents itselfโฆ? Itโs so intense on being free and following the path youโve carved for yourself that I just couldnโt hate Garp for it. When Luffy first realized that Aceโs vivre card was burning, theyโd just gone through Thriller Bark. Yet Luffy chose not to go look for Ace because Ace had his own journey and he wanted to respect that. He only chose to go after Ace when he actually found out about the execution. But this decision still didnโt pull him away from his path as a pirate. Both brothers knew since they were kids that their grand-father would be their enemy and they accepted that, which is why neither of them resented him when it came down to it. They respected each otherโs choices to be on the path that they were on. The best that Garp could do in that moment as he ultimately wished he could save his grand-son, was allow for Luffy to make his way through and actually save Ace. This is something Amenz understood and cheered for when he saw it on screen and yet now itโs like he completely erased that from his memory and went to hating Garp in the same way he did before Luffyโs punched Garp ๐

2022-04-26 07:48:44 +0000 UTCOn the top of my head, I think that Imu is thinking about killing Kobro because heโs going to ask questions about the Poneglyphs and things of that nature and Imu is contemplating if Vivi will be a cooperative person to the world government as she is next in line to rule Alabasta. But at the same time I think it could be more important than that as we imu looking at viviโs photo right after seeing photos of 3 big shots in terms of impact on the overall story.
