The patient can only stare wide-eyed in awe.
โUhhh,โ he begins.
The Paramedic works long hours and hard shifts, oftentimes driving the ambulance all through the night. Heโs encountered this before.
โGot knocked down? Had a fall?โ he asks, surprisingly gentle for a huge brute such as he.
The patient is still staring, apparently forgetting what was wrong with him.
โDโya need a hand getting up?โ the big man tries again. โNeed help getting into the ambulance?โ
โNo... Iโm - Wait, yes! Yes, I do! I need help. Youโre gonna have to carry me, Iโm afraid.โ
The Paramedic heaves his huge chest when he sighs. How did he know this would be the answer?
