On rewatch you’ll see the 6 guys following them out the tunnel at the end. Their group was 13 total: 7 heroes and 6 redshirts lol

He’s suggesting that because Dany is risking her life every time she gets on drogon and rides into battle. If she dies, the whole campaign is lost.

I think it’s about who would take her role if she were to die before getting the throne too. Her cause would still need some sort of leader I guess

There's no reason imo they need to choose a successor now. I mean, getting the crown won't happen tomorrow. What's the rush? Also, I don't think Dany needs to listen to Tyrion when his loyalty is split between Dany and his own family. He gives the benefit of the doubt to them too much

S07 ep05
Tormund to Jon: And you need to convince the one with the dragons, or the one who fucks her brother?
Jon: Both
Now at least one powerful queen believes him. And now she also knows it wasn't just a figure of speech when Davos said Jon took a knife in the heart.

By this episode we are so desensitized to sibling incest, that the aunt/nephew thing doesn’t even ping on the radar Lmaoo. Did the same thing man and then realized this episode when I first watched.

Some of my favorite character interactions happen in this episode. Jon and Jorah, Tormund and Hound, etc: They’re all great conversations between characters that haven’t had scenes together.
The wight hunt was mostly about getting Danys help. She makes it clear she won’t help Jon because she doesn’t believe the night king is real, and she won’t give up the country to Cersei while going off to fight an enemy she’s never seen. He had to prove to her that the dead are real, and they’re the main concern. Whether Cersei actually helps or not, it’s more about getting her to agree to an armistice so Dany can shift her focus to the North. Getting her support is paramount, she has the dragons and the armies.

This is definitely a top tier episode. Can't get to it till tomorrow night though. My 19 yo daughter from Florida came up to Cincinnati to visit and this is her last day here. Pretty rare that I don't watch a GOT upload the same day lol. R.I.P. Thoros. A truly interesting amd funny character. Also good to see so many paths cross in this one. A lot of great dialouge.

For me it was in this episode that the faster pace gave me major whiplash and started to take me out of the story a bit. It took Jon Snow and co half the episode to reach the white walkers, but then in a few minutes, Gendry made it back to the wall, sent a raven to Daenerys, Daenerys received it and flew to Jon and co to help?? And then Benjen coming out of nowhere when it would’ve been enough for Jon to just barely make it onto the dragon and leave with the others.

The triumphant soundtrack when Danny finally arrives 🥹 followed by the absolute gut punch that comes next is one of the hardest emotional 180s I had with this show. I wanted to call in sick the next morning, lol. 😣

Funny that Beric should say Jon probably favours his mother because Jon and Arya throughout the book series were said to look alike more than all the Stark children, and Arya is said to look like Lyanna. I understand why Ned banned all gossip of Jon’s mother in Winterfell because look close enough at the story and someone definitely would’ve figured out the secret.

I will be gone for about two weeks in the middle of August. But I should be able to get enough videos and patreon content done to at least upload a few things during that time!

So excited for this one. When did you say you were going on vacation? I thought I heard you say in the last video that you were taking some time off soon.
